WISCOMP, an initiative of the Foundation for Universal Responsibility organized a three-day workshop titled Gender Equity and Inclusion: Transformative Pathways in Higher Education at Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts, Pune from 22-24 August 2019. The workshop was organized in collaboration with Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts, Pune as part of its project ‘HAMSA: Campus Equity Initiative’. The project is supported by the Public Affairs Section, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi.
The workshop aimed to build a cohort of engaged ‘animators’ who are committed to proactively engage to make campuses gender-just by raising awareness, tracking progress, maximizing reach of the gender-sensitization processes.
It also facilitate the designing of a Gender Audit template by the participants for their campus.
The workshop participants included faculty members from Symbiosis Group of Institutions, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and other colleges in and around Pune. It also included student representatives and researchers from Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts.
