Under the Blue Skies: A Tibetan Reader is an anthology of Tibetan literature in English, with contributions from His Holiness and 30 Tibetan writers. The book was launched, followed by a discussion, in September 2022. The conversation comprised an insightful dialogue between the editor Bhuchung D. Sonam, author-contributor Tenzin Tsundue and eminent discussants from journalism, political science and academia.

The discussion between authors Arthy Singh and Mamta Nainy, and Rajiv Mehrotra, who penned the foreword to the book, illuminated the life and teachings of the Dalai Lama, who is regarded by many as a manifestation of Buddha, even as he describes himself as ‘a simple monk’.
