January 5-8, New Delhi: The Foundation collaborated with India Habitat Centre for a workshop on ‘Being with Dying’ which was conducted by Ven. Sangye khadro. Attended by over 70 participants, the discourse helped the participants understand death from diverse perspectives of Buddhist lens, Hinduism, Christianity and medical understanding. Ven. Sangye Khadro (Kathleen McDonald) began studying Buddhism with Tibetan lamas in Dharamsala, India, in 1973 and became a nun in Nepal the following year. She received full (bhikshuni) ordination in 1988, and is a graduate in Buddhist Studies in Sutra and Tantra from Lama Tsong Khapa Institute, Italy.
