From the words of the Organizers, Mr. Tenzin Dhargyal and Mr.Ngawang Tseten:

“ The paintings are done by the children of TCV School Suja in Himachal Pradesh. They have recently arrived from Tibet and as such have first hand information about the reality of living in Tibet in the present day. Moreover, most of them are very good painters. They all are from classes I to X, making the total of around 200 in number.

Painting has been, is and will be one way of showing our feelings. Infact, some of the feelings, which even words can't express, can be best expressed through Paintings. Such is the power of Painting. Keeping this in mind, we are very honored to hold this Painting Exhibition named " Feelings From Tibet", with the support from the Foundation For Universal Responsibility of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The Paintings cover various themes like Tibet's Landscape, Olympic, Education, Environment etc..”

The objectives of holding this Painting Exhibition are :

  • to provide platform for the children who do painting
  • to express one's feelings through colours
  • to bring awareness on some Universal issues
  • to inculcate aesthetic values in Children to harness the power of Youth
